Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is also known as the Anniversary of the Battle
of Puebla. This holiday is celebrated in the United States and Mexico in honor
of a military victory in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon III. Cinco de Mayo is often confused with Mexico’s
Independence Day. However, Mexico
declared its independence from Spanish rule on September 16, 1810, in which
their struggle of independence began.
